How I Research and Review Products
I want to be completely honest with you. I do not buy and install every single washing machine, smart lock, or air purifier that I write about on this site. Nobody has the space or the budget to do that.
However, I never just copy what the manufacturer says on their sales page.
Because of my background in tech and automation, I know that what a company promises is not always what the gadget actually does. Here is my exact process for finding the truth before I recommend anything to you.
Step 1: The Deep Tech Check
Before I even look at the price, I look at the technology. I read the boring user manuals and the technical sheets. I look at what kind of sensors the device uses. I check if the app gets good updates or if it crashes all the time. Because I build tech systems for a living, I can easily spot if a product is using old technology packaged in a shiny new box.
Step 2: Finding Real World Problems
A product might look great on paper, but how does it work in a real house after six months? I spend hours reading feedback from real people on forums, retail sites, and tech boards. I look for common problems. If ten people say a smart lock drains batteries in a week, I will make sure you know about it.
Step 3: The Health and Science Check
Some of the things I write about affect your health. This includes HEPA air purifiers, water filters, and sleep technology. For these products, I do not just read reviews. I cross check the claims with real science. I look at government health sites, medical studies, and expert advice to make sure the product actually does what it claims to do for your body.
Step 4: AI Assisted Data Gathering
I use AI tools to help me sort through massive amounts of data and find those real world problems faster. I take all that research, put it through my own tech filter, and write every single word you read on this site myself.
Step 5: The Final Verdict
I only recommend a product if it passes all these checks. I ask myself one simple question: Would I spend my own money to put this in my own house? If the answer is no, I will not tell you to buy it.
